Just came in from playing in the backyard. Brody loved it. Becka and Olivia are like little Mums to him, toting him all around the yard.
Ok, enough procastinating, my house is a BOMB.

Well, built for one, but cute song.
Fern came home today with a couple new bikes for us. We have been talking about getting some for awhile, and today was the day!
I cant even remember the last time I rode a bike. Liv and I bombed around, it was nice. I look forward to lots of family time with the kids, all we need now is a little seat for Brody.
Wow, I have been a productive lil blogger today!

We put Brody to bed for a nap, and I had Fern take Ben out for a date. Liv and I scrapbooked for 2 hours. It was her first time, and she got some really nice stuff for Christmas that we cracked open. She so got the hang of it, and by the end, was bidding for some of my supplies.
uh oh.

Hey all!
Jenn just left, we had a wonderful day today! We both had our non- school aged kiddies taken care of, and we headed off for a glorious day all by ourselves! We went to Milestones for lunch, mmm. Then off to Costco. We knew what we were going for, scrap booking stuff. They have really great stuff right now. I bought this HUGE pack of gorgeous paper. 90 different patterns x 4, for $15! Sweet.

Then she came over tonight after the kiddies were all in bed, and we did pages all night. I was very productive, which isn't always the case. I am happy with that.

Fern took Olivia to karate, and he brought Ben, what a treat to just have the one child for an hour. Blissful.

I was super blessed today, I feel refreshed. Which I needed!

This makes my second night scrap booking tonight, Ange came over the other night too, and on Friday we are going down to the shop to scrap for 5 hours! I am pumped. With all my new stickers/paper I ready to roll.

We are checking out a preschool tomorrow for Ben. September he will go. I will fill y'all in on that later.

Oh, Nicci and Heidi, guess who I saw today? Danny T. STILL WORKS AT MILESTONES!!! He is getting married next month, said to say hi!

OK, blah blah blah -

I am off to read my new book. Speaking of that, I thought I would be smart and 'borrow' a book from the library, to save money - not buy a book. Well upon checking my book out, The librarian, in a very snotty tone, informed me that I had $30 in late charges!!!!!!!!!!!!

*ahem* pardon me?? I am trying to be frugal here, not buying a book...

Did she make those? No they must have been done by a professional.

Well, let me just say I MADE THEM.

To explain the bottom ones: (from left to right)
a car, an xbox controller (hee hee), a happy face, a N that I did in the wrong color so made it that, another happy face, and another xtra N.

Ok, I am being extremely sarcastic. I am NO cake decorator. But they tasted really good.

Well Bens party was a smash! We went disco bowling. (I don't think they call it that anymore). It was border line crazy: 12 kids, 2 lanes, loud music, dark lights - but they sure had fun. Was fun hanging with our friends too. Was nice. Two hours, dinner, cake and leave the mess! (and we sure did!)

well, I like to consider myself a 'picture taker'. I love snapping off random shots. I also am all over the 'self portrait'. As you can see, most of them are off kilter. I was having fun though! The music was just lke back in the day, I had the dancing bug, and a few of us could be seen doing the YMCA.

Well, I am very pleased to announce that my friend of 13 years, is finally conforming to the blogger. She has been a reader for quite some time, and has on occasion left a comment.

She and I are like 2 peas in a pod. Ok, actually nothing could be further from the truth. We have a funny friendship. She is a very good friend to me, she is absolutely adored by my babies, and we have a very easy and natural friendship. An example you ask? Well here's one:

A few months back, we had several people over for Brody's birthday. There was a ton of kids, and adults. At one point I realized that I hadn't seen her in a while. After looking a few places, I went into my bedroom, and found her, under the covers in my bed, all the lights out but the bed side lamp, and she was reading a magazine. She said, "Is everyone gone?".

I do feel a little like I need to explain her lovely ways, except often even I am not sure of them ;)

She IS very opinionated, she often says things that make my ears curdle. She can be offensive, (just don't get offended) and very forthright with her opinions. All that being said, I love her to bits, even the rough edges, and she has come so far, (I don't know what I am implying here but...)

Ok, well, if you are up for a funny, sometimes shocking, often ballsy but ALWAYS interesting read, check out my friend CHRISTINA

Whenever this show comes on, the older two split faster than lightnening, and little Brody goes flying into the living room, and has to get right up close to Farzzle.

Happy little Farzzle

I don't know. I just don't have the inspiration right now I guess. I am still reading all of your blogs though!
There is lots going on, the biggest thing is that my parents are going to be moving out of the suite downstairs.
I ABSOLUTELY love having them here, they are so very helpful. Things like watching the boys while I take Liv to and from school, watching the boys while Liv and I are at the dojo for a few hours, which is like 5 days a week (not always). I have become spoiled, and will have a major reality check when they go.
I have the GREATEST parents in the world. They have helped us in so many ways- babysat, cupboard cleaning, grocery shopping, financially, so many ways. I couldn't have asked for better parents. Thank you Mom and Dad for everything. We are often all together. Breakfasts, dinners, movie night (we even got my Dad into 'The Office'!) They are the couple we most spend time with. How cool is that? Fern loves hanging with my Dad, browsing at Best Buy (coming home and trying to convince us ladies why we need certain electronics).
You can't meet nicer, more genuine, generous loving, humble people, than my parents.

We love you guys!

My next post will be my excitement about having the downstairs too...

MAN ALIVE!!!!!
Warning, this post is all vomit related, weak stomaches, need not read on.

I think this weekend, (and I don't know that it's officially over yet) is my first one as official "mother of 3". I have been initiated.

Details...

FRIDAY:

All is well, and then 4:30pm hits like a tornado. Ben comes running into the kitchen, covering his mouth while yelling "I NEED TO POOKKKK!!!!!!". The babe was so miserable, whiny and didn't want me more than 3cm (not inches) away from him. Ben had a marathon - DE - vomit, and I lost count after EIGHTEEN times. That night, he came running to me, who was fast asleep, and was covered in it, as was his bedding/mattress/pillow/and all 3 night-time stuffies. So at 11pm I threw all of the above, except the mattress, into the washer, changed Ben, and brought him into our bed. Fast forward about 45 minutes, just enough time that I have fallen into a good sleep. I wake up to Ben in an uproar, yelling his warning that he is about to vomit. I am so disoriented, I jump up, grab him like a football, and run with him to the toilet. We didn't make it. He tossed it ALL OVER the dining room, and his very tired Mama. This pattern cycled several times, and included me getting everyone out of our bed, to change our sheets, and throw them in the wash at 1AM. I have a good amount of sheets, extras and stuff, and boy, it almost seemed like I didn't have enough. His last episode of the night was at 3am. I felt so bad for Fern, who had to get up for work an hour later.

SATURDAY:

he was back to himself. Except he was complaining of a sore throat. At the same time, Liv has had a nasty canker sore, that was not going away, and it was really hurting her. So with my sweet Mom watching the baby, I took the older 2 to the walk in clinic.

As we were waiting, Ben, out of nowhere, yells his warning. I panic, leave Liv in the waiting room, and dragged him to the bathroom. Locked, with a sign that read 'pleas ask front desk for key'. I whirl around to the desk, grab the key from the lady, open the door, and he vomits all over the bathroom, Everywhere BUT the toilet. Including my whole right leg.

Turns out, when your child pukes at the walk in, you are in charge of cleaning it up. So with a sick child, I clean the bathroom. Unfortunately, he aimed for the corner of the room, right where the baseboards meet. That can't be good.

I have been so queasy through all of this, and all the clean up I have been doing, has not been good for my tum.

SUNDAY:

This morning, I was so tired, although the night went better then the one before, I made coffee, and imposed a "Mommy and Daddy time" in our room. No kids. I gave the baby a bottle in his bed, and snuck back to have a coffee date with my hubby.

That date ended rather traumatically. I had asked Liv to bring the babe to me, and heard her yell "EVERYTHING IS COVERED IN PUKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

This is taking too long: summary-

Brody vomited 13 times today
Liv started at 3pm, and by bedtime hit 16 times...
I have administered 2 gravol suppositories (only one of which was done right)
I have been vomited on more times than I can count
My washer/dryer are STILL going

TIMES LIKE THIS WHEN ALL THREE KIDS ARE SICK AND NEED ME, I FEEL LIKE I AM STRETCHED SOOOOOOOOOOOOO FAR....

Tomorrow is a new day...

My Ben is 4 today.

I took him on a little date today, just me and him, we went to Starbucks (I did get him a hot chocolate) and we went to the dollar store, they give you $5 when you go in on your birthday.

I told him he could have any toy in the store, (sounds impressive hey??). He took an agonizing 20 minutes, and finally decided on a $1 toy. I told him that he could also get something else, but he wasn't interested. We got up to the till, and the lady asked him if he wanted a balloon. She was very nice, and used such a sweet voice, and my boy said, (in a grumpy tone) "no."

I think he must have thought that it was the balloon OR the toy, I don't know. He is sure a different kid.

Wooo. I am feeling it tonight! That achey-feeling-like-a-truck-rolled-over-you, warm tingly in your muscles. The 2 week hiatus from karate is a hard slump to get out of. But BOY do I ever love it. Learning new stuff all the time, little things to work towards, it's awesome. Not to mention the connection with haveing Liv in it too. We have been working together almost everyday. So nice.

I have rented season one of 'The Office', and we are gonna watch some tonight. I caught onto to the show late in the season, and love it. Something about laughing. Feels so good.

I am trying to think of something "non-dull" to post about, but am having trouble.

Sorry people, no motivation for blogging. I would love to read Jenn's blog, and see her new haircut, that looks WAY amazing... or something new on Anje's site...or some updates on Heidi, and her new found joy.

Well, night. Sleep well Umfundisi.

I can't sleep. Darn it anyways. Nothing worse than being tired, but unable to sleep. I got all my paper work organized tonight. That's probably the reason right there. Numbers floating around in my head. Blech -

My tree is still up, I am too lazy to take her down. That and I enjoy it up:)
It's so nice to be back in my karate/cardio mode again. Too much Christmas baking and chocolates, and wine for this girl. I will be needing to put alot of determination into my workouts :[

I think this is going to be another 'random bits O' nothing blog'.

What else...

tomorrow, I will attempt to 'de-tree' my living room, keep up with my 'cupboard - a - day -" organizing, enjoy the day off with my family, go to church, go to cardio, and I think I will squeeze a Starbucks run in there somewhere too.

I got to see Lisa's new place. Really nice. Erin and the J man were there too. Ben was a little hyper there, and pulled a 'superman' stunt, he tried to fly THROUGH her baby gate, and ended up belly flopping onto the gate landing smack on the floor. I have no idea what goes through his little head.

Ok, boring random post over, good night all!!

breaks their back molar while eating a frozen piece of chocolate? Probably the same person who crashed the motorcycle in the backyard, and got it entangled with the kids brand new swing set.

Thanks to Jenn, who graciously came over here with her THREE CHILDREN + HER NEPHEW, to watch my THREE CHILDREN so I could go to the dentist. Add em up. That's 7 children, and 3 of them under 4. What a friend.

At the dentist I had to have 15% of my tooth extracted, and have to go back to get a crown on it.

:(

The chocolate was so NOT worth it ;)
