Livs party was last weekend, and I thought I would show the pics, even though they didn't turn out well. She had a blast.

Love the long weekend weather! Its so great to be able to have the kids play in the backyard, giving them Popsicles...
Wishful thinking.

There have been a few ads lately, that I just can't get over. On TV the other day, it was a Mom who was a teacher, and she was singing the praises of the chocolate spread Nuttella. Saying, "as a Teacher, I know first hand that kids need the energy from nutrients, andthats why nuttella is a great part of a healthy meal"

Or that chocolate milk is "just as" healthy as white!!!!

Or on the box of Kraft Dinner, it has a flag that symbolizes a healthy item. "Sensible Solutions".

Come on!!

Oh, and another fun little tidbit -

Spring cleanup was last week. Its that time where things that were not deemed as acceptable to be picked up from the city, linger in the yards of the people who were hoping to be rid of the junk.

On my street, there is : a big deep freeze, a fridge, and a mattress and box spring. The mattress, is on our side of the yard, and its such an eyesore, I have been complaining about it to anyone who will hear. Well the irony of this story, with me being so upset at how trashy it looks when people just wait and leave their crap till who knows when -

When I left the house this morning, I looked at the ugly mattresses, that were becoming a major sore spot with me, and someone had put a nasty old dark brown toilet in my yard beside the mattress!!!!

I was livid. Called my neighbor, told her the front of my yard looks like a dump yard. Thankfully I didn't go into the convo assuming it was her toilet, tho it did go thru my mind, since it was placed right beside the ugly mattress.

It was not them. I told her that it bothered me that the mattress was placed on our side, and I didn't mince words.

Now what? I have this nasty toilet on my grass!!! I have to get rid of it? Me with no truck? And pay for the dumping fines? This makes me outraged.

Some idiot who hoped the city would take it, and probably didn't have a way to get it to the dump, dumps it on my yard.

Nice.

OK, a nice rant of a blog.

At least now, my Mum AND my Mom in law, can get off my back about my lack of blogging.

This was taken 2 years ago on our Great Grama / Nana / Mom / daughter trip to Disneyland.

How the time flies! She is growing up waay to fast. She is such a sweet girl. I feel so very blessed to have her.
She is one of the brightest kids in her class, she is the youngest ever to be asked to join the leadership team at Karate. This girl makes us so very proud!

Every birthday, I tell the story of when they were born, what it was like, and so on. This year, Liv was really into the details. What time exactly, what it was like. Its so nice that she appreciates things like that.
We had a great day, she picked out what her birthday meal would be, spagghetti with garlic toast, right down to the chocolate milk.
Papa and Nana came over, and her best bu Becka.
Her gifts were all quite a hit. In fact, I think this was the best year yet. We got her a pogo stick, a skip it (member those? it was fun doing that again), 2 soccer nets, and a baseball kit complete with the bases.
They were outside all day.

The day ended with me frenchbraiding her hair on my bed after she got out of the tub.

I love having my princess.

Every once in awhile, when I load the photos onto the computer, I see that Ben has taken the camera, and taken a few shots. They always include self portraits, which I find so funny, because I am the self portrait queen. He also takes pics of random things around the house.

Brody could not be a happier child. His smile takes over his whole face.

Saturday. Liv and I walk over to her friends house and had a Mom and Me scrap booking date. From 9 - 12:30. Was so nice. We brought all her stuff, and she did 8 pages.

As soon as we got home from that we left and tried to squeeze in a trip to the mall, to get a gift for my Mom. While there, I took a few extra minutes and grabbed a new shirt. I had my eyebrows waxed on Friday, found a super cute pair of dressy pants for $6.98, and so, thought a new shirt was in order as well.

Flew home, called the hairdresser to move my appointment from 2 to 2:30. Called home, asked my hubby to start the wings we were bringing to a party we had that night. I was stressed, there was a few things to do, and not enough time to do them. Fern and I were, "bantering" back and forth on the cell while I was driving home.

Next thing I know, a cop who was off his bike, ran into the rode in front of me, and pointed his big ol arm my way and motioned for me to pull over.

I hang up on Fern, and roll my window down. The cop, says, "what is going on? Most people slow down when they see an officer on the side of the rode, but you sped up!!"

I told him I was arguing with my husband. He pokes his head into my window, and says, "what, do you have him stashed in the trunk or something?"

I told him the whole conversation, how Fern had said that I took too much on my plate, and that I should cancel the haircut. blah blah blah.

Then the cop goes into this 10 minute rant about how he and his wife fight over these things, and yadda yadda yadda.

I thought, he is waaay to chatty with me, maybe he will let me off with a warning.

No such luck.

He did do me a favour, I was going 20 over, and he wrote it up that i was only a bit over, so it wouldn't be "excessive".

$138.00

Ouch. This is my first ever ticket. That hurts.

When we got home, Liv loved telling Ben that Mommy got in trouble with a Police Officer.

First time someone other than my Mom has watched Brody. We had a sitter come watch the kids while we went to the party. We had a great time.

blogger is awfully quite these days. Not too much new going on around here. We sold the mans bike last week, he was sad to see it go, but it was becoming an ornament.

I cant even believe my baby girl is going to be 8!!! How fast does time go?

I think I am falling apart. My back, my knees, and now my arms. They took quite a beating lastnight in class. They call it "Lim Conditioning". You basicaly smash your forearms against your partners, repeatedly. I am all bruised up.

Baby girl is testing for her full purple belt at the end of the month. She is doing so well in karate. She is the youngest on the leadership team, and I am so proud of her.

Well, enough of that, back to the books.

I can't even believe the thing I just saw on the news. People who blame other people for their problems really bother me.

So there is this guy, who lost half a million dollars in gambling. For 3 years, he says he basically "lived at the casino".

He is suing the casino, AND the province, for not "identifying him as a problem gambler" !!!!!!!!!

He says it was there (the staff's) OBLIGATION to kick him out!!!

He says because of them not doing their job, he lost his house, his marriage and other things as well!!

I can't believe he could blame the casino? Are we not responsible for our own actions? Own up people!

Does that mean if someone bought alcohol, and then drove drunk, and killed someone in an accident - he could sue the Liquor store for selling it to him???

Lets blame anyone but ourselves.

I am very heated up about this. He sits there with a straight face, and said that the staffers didn't do their job!!!

Ignorant.
