hubby came home with flowers. No reason, other than he saw them and thought of me, (and Liv, as they were for both his girls).

Being married, is so completely wonderful, and everything I had ever hoped for and thought it could be.

However, it can be the most frustrating, challenging thing I have ever done too.

Marriage isn't easy. Everyone knows that. The things you can argue about?
child rearing/finances/household duties/employment/in laws/time management. The list goes on.

I think it can be so easy to fight with your spouse. Easier than not. Example, keeping my mouth shut when I want to throw in a snide or demeaning remark. I alot of the time, say something, and think about it after it comes out. Words can be so damaging. So detrimental. But they can be so encouraging at the same time.

Something I heard on the radio the other day, Dr.Laura said, here's a piece of advice. Not one you hear too often: "keep your mouth shut".
Just keep it closed. Feel like throwing out an insult or jab? A sarcastic remark? Just keep your mouth shut. Just do it.

This was good advice for me. I am totally a one-liner. When I am upset, my reaction is my sharp tongue. If my hubby says something that irks me to no end, i am trying to just say nothing. (as I type this, he is reading over my shoulder and asked me, "have you ever tried honey?") haha.
I have. (one time...)

So point to this blog?

Be the one to encourage. Up sell your spouse. Be your hubby's biggest supporter. Biggest fan. Do the best you can to be the BEST wife you can.

wow, not a typical blog for me.

If you were gonna, that is... Well, I remembered the camera 2 times the whole weekend, and one of those times I forgot the memory card in the computer, so all I have of us, is this crappy picture. Well, she always looks good, but I look ill. (and no I wasn't;)

Well, she was here, and now she's gone. It is always so good to have her in town. I get so sad when I think how things could be if we lived closer. Our whole married/adult life has been whirlwind visits, cramming in dinners, movies, shopping trips etc. You know, two of my very best friends in the world, whom I have been friends with since we were kids, both got married and moved away. It's so sad. When Rose comes, its like we have never been apart. (It helps that we talk on the phone EVERYDAY). She is such a friend. I admire her so much, never could you have a more sweet, caring, fun loving, generous friend. She makes me laugh so hard. I miss her already.
"she's not driving, I'M driving."

And this, well this is what I walked in on, while talking to Miss Heidi today. I guess he saw an elastic, and a watch, and thought, "hmm, if I put this elastic around my head, I could stick the watch in between it, and wa-la!" I honestly laugh so hard at this kid, he just cracks me up. He told me yesterday, when I asked him to get his Jammie's on for bed, "Mom, you can always count on me."
That's my boy :)

My Dad, the best Dad ANYONE could ask for. Smart, funny and real handy. And babysiting on his own birthday. What a man. Dad, I love you, my kids adore you, and even Fern loves you. (that doesn't sound like I mean it too).
I hope you are blessed up to your boots (and actually more), and that this year is going to be totally awesome.
Love you.

Yesterday Fern took Ben, who loves to ride his bike just like a bmx'er, for a little bike ride. I was going out an hour later, and he said they'd be back by then.
I think they were gone 5 minutes, when I see Fern riding his bike with one hand, holding Ben's bike with the other - and Ben walking with a slump like his dog just died.
This is what he looked like. I guess the puddle was deeper than it looked, and down he went face first into the mud puddle :(
He said, "Mom, I am having a bad day."

This was after Fern wiped his face.

Just a quick post, so as not to completely lose all my readers.
Things have been busy here, my parents have moved out, and we have been spreading our wings to the lower level (that sounds big) of the house.

They (my parents) have a few more loads, and that should be it. It is so nice to be able to spread our stuff out.

I sit and type this from an actual office, and not just my dining room. That's big people. Huge.

Had a nice morning with Jenn at Starbucks today, and we ran into Tania. Was a nice time. I love that I can take Liv to school, and make plans while there with my great friends who are dropping their kids off. Its like Mayberry out here I tell ya, and I LOVE IT!

OK, that's all I got.

What a kid.

I go into his room tonight, because he is crying. Hard. Really upset.

I ask him whats wrong, and he says "nothing."

I said, "so then why are you crying?"

He says, "its the worms - Mum"

I say what about the worms Ben?"

He says, "there is a Mom, a Dad and a baby worm in the backyard, and they are all DEAD."

I explained to him about worms, and told him not to worry, that is how life is for the worm.

He said, "it's just not fair."

Oh the drama!

that Jenn leaves Grace here.

Ben and Grace are having a yogurt, and she says, "pink." refering to her spoon. Then she says "blue." Pointing to Bens spoon(which is blue)
Thats when Ben said, "no Gracie, this is purple. See? My spoon is purple."

That and she keeps calling me 'mum'.

Oh dear.

good class tonight. They combined the 2 classes, so now instead of a 1 hour white to green belt class, it's 1.5 hour white - black belt class.
I learnt how to use nunchaku's. Was interesting.

Not too much new. Thank you to Jenn who watched Ben for me while I went to class this morning, good friend, although, she still hasn't got used to me calling her for no apparent reason. We're gonna have to work on that one ;)

Funny little Ben story from today.
Whenever we receive an email, a little dog comes bouncing onto the screen, and licks the page. Every time the kids yell, "MOM, you got an email!!!!!!!!!!!"

So today, we were on our way out, and I was holding Brody while Ben held the screen door open for me so that I could lock the door, Ben yells, "Mom! Your standing on your Email!!"

I look down and see that I am standing on the newspaper.

Your Inner Child Is Scared

Like a kid, you tend to shy away from new experiences.
You prefer what's tried and true - novelty is scary!
New foods, new places, and new friends are difficult for you to deal with.
Some say you're predictable, but you enjoy being comfortable.
How Is Your Inner Child?

You Are Ernie

Playful and childlike, you are everyone's favorite friend - even if your goofy antics get annoying at times.

You are usually feeling: Amused - you are very easily entertained

You are famous for: Always making people smile. From your silly songs to your wild pranks, you keep things fun.

How you life your life: With ease. Life is only difficult when your friends won't play with you!

Did you hear about the Texas teacher who was helping one of her kindergarten
students put on his cowboy boots?

He asked for help and she could see why. Even with her pulling and him
pushing, the little boots still didn't want to go on. By the time they got
the second boot on, she had worked up a sweat.

She almost cried when the little boy said, "Teacher, they're on the wrong
feet." She looked, and sure enough, they were. It wasn't any easier pulling
the boots off than it was putting them on. She managed to keep her cool as
together they worked to get the boots back on, this time on the right feet.

He then announced, "These aren't my boots." She bit her tongue rather than
get right in his face and scream, 'Why didn't you say so?!?!?!?!?!" like she
wanted to.Once again, she struggled to help him pull the ill-fitting boots
off his little feet. No sooner had they gotten the boots off when he said,
"They're my brother's boots. My Mom made me wear 'em."

Now she didn't know if she should laugh or cry. But, she mustered up what
grace and courage she had left to wrestle the boots on his feet again.
Helping him into his coat, she asked, "Now, where are your mittens? He
said, "I stuffed 'em in the toes of my boots."

She will be eligible for parole in three years...

Normally Jenn is the one cringing when I drive, (I have NO IDEA WHY), but this time she was driving, and she was going so fast, and had to stop for a train, and I saw my life flash before my eyes.
